Free Atlanta Event Alert for June 1 - Essential Habitat Elements in a Rewilded Yard Hosted by North Metro GNPS

I’m honored and excited to have the North Metro Atlanta Georgia Native Plant Society host me on Saturday, June 1 from 10:30-12:30 to speak about ways to coexist with nature to make your yard a more ecologically functional source of life. I'll weave stories connecting my rewilded yard to habitat elements designed to heal a yard’s ecosystem

The interactive habitat workshops held in my rewilded yard are limited in size and fill up fast so I made the basic points into a presentation using photos and videos from my yard.

I look forward to sharing how to experience the daily joy and wonder of nature by increasing biodiversity and offering a safe wildlife habitat no matter what the size of your outdoor space. Considerations when adding basic elements such as native plants, water sources, and tips for doing no harm will be offered. Wherever you are in your journey of creating a welcoming place for wildlife, I hope to inspire you to make at least one change in your own yard and will include resources to get you started. The program will be held at the Sewell Mill Library (2051 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, GA 30068).  The event is free, open to the public, and registration is not necessary.

These photos were taken recently all in the same day in my small, rewilded yard. It's amazing how much life can exist when we welcome nature!

Public speaking is relatively new for me and North Metro GNPS is a perfect host because I’m more at ease when speaking to “plant friends”.  I hope to see you there!

This will be the fourth time I've done public speaking...this photo is from March when the nature forward Friends of Lost Corner hosted me.
